Don't Look Back

I may have just eaten an entire

peanut butter and jelly sandwich

and may now feel like barfing.

I may have just watched a slideshow

of the cutest couple I know,

made by one for the other

because one is going to college.

That makes me feel like barfing too.

Let's get something straight up front:

I really, really hate 96% of

high school couples.

But these kids,

they're the exception to every rule.

They're a damn cute couple,

and it makes me sad that

I will be seeing them as one unit

less frequently much too soon.

But they won't break up,

because that's something

they wouldn't do.

If you knew them,

you'd understand this.

So despite anyone out there thinking

"pfffft, high school relationships!"

This one is legit.

As in they will be getting married

or the world will collapse in on itself

legit.

They make me happy,

because they're happy,

and they are a very lovely

ray of sunshine in the grey

and weird world of relationships.

So cute I could barf. :)
